Wine Tour & Tasting
La Togata Hôtellerie de Charme offers you, in the homeland of the famous Brunello, a wine-tasting tour in its own Winery — also a 5-Girasoli (five sunflowers) agriturismo — easily reached in 3 minutes on foot. You can book, at very advantageous conditions, a tasting of various types of wine, accompanied if you wish by typical Tuscan flavours. You will be guided through this sensory experience by a Sommelier.
You can also experience the thrill of a “blind test” (you are blindfolded, not the bottles!) to perceive the “50 shades of red” that a Brunello of class must have…
Typical products of the territory
On the same occasion you may, if you wish, purchase with a special “Prestige Guests” discount bottles of the various Brunellos of La Togata Winery, of the Rossi di Montalcino, or of the very fine IGT and SuperTuscans… without, of course, forgetting the Grappa di Brunello La Togata!
You can also buy typical local products such as cured meats, hams — including Cinta Senese — cinta sauces, special pastas, oil and honey from small, niche local producers of the highest quality. Not forgetting a souvenir such as special crystal balloon glasses for Brunello, or the unique ceramics of the Val d'Orcia, hand painted and certified with the artist's signature under each piece. We can arrange shipping all over the world.
Special lunches and dinners at the Winery
During the tours of La Togata Winery you can — always booking in advance and subject to availability — try a light lunch or a more formal dinner in the Tasting Room, perhaps hosting your friends as well (up to 12 people). On the same occasion you can visit the small Museum of Peasant Culture, or have a romantic dinner on the Winery Terrace or in the Garden (from 2 to 21 people), by the Well of the Spell and under the stars (from 2 to 24 people).
Special lunches or dinners at your own location
If you want an emotion worthy of a King and Queen, you can treat yourselves — always booking in advance and subject to availability — to a private lunch or dinner directly in the lounge/kitchen of the Winery. You choose the menu, the wines, your favourite champagne. And you can even choose between a local chef or — just for you, for one evening — a Michelin-starred chef.
Cooking courses
We can organise at the Winery, if booked well in advance and subject to availability, short cooking courses held by the Tuscan “Cuoche” of S. Angelo in Colle — the ladies who every day make for their families the real homemade pasta, the real wild boar, the real cakes… An emotion of old-time flavours and many little secrets that no restaurant can ever give you!

01Tours
Visits to other local wineries, castles, private museums (such as the famous Banfi Glass Museum) and the famous Diocesan Museum — organised and recommended at your request.
02On horseback and by bicycle
Rides through the green of meadows, woods and chestnut groves, on horseback too. Rent a bicycle, mountain bikes included. Be there for the Brunello Crossing and the celebrated Eroica, which revives the old bicycle races — just let us know in time.
03The Contrade of Montalcino
Visit the 4 Contrade (Borghetto, Pianello, Ruga, Travaglio) which twice a year organise the Palio di Montalcino, with the Opening of the Hunts and the traditional archery. And perhaps learn the first rudiments of archery from an Archer, arranging it in time.
04Mille Miglia
Be there as the Mille Miglia passes and almost touch the most prestigious vintage cars… it can be arranged!
05Observing the sky
Admire the firmament on summer nights in absolute darkness and observe the stars through a modern telescope on the Terrace of the Winery/Agriturismo La Togata, with a glass of Brunello or a flute of Champagne.
06South American dance
Join an hour of South American dance school with an internationally renowned Colombian teacher… if the teacher is present!
07Gym
And if you are restless and still have energy — for guests of the Agriturismo La Togata only — you can spend an hour in the very modern gym, or rest in the relax corner of the Winery.
